No ha sido un cambio motivado por el miedo ni por la urgencia, sino por una especie de despertar sagrado. Me he sorprendido mirando hacia atr\u00e1s\u2014no con arrepentimiento, sino con reverencia\u2014y hacia adelante, no con prisa, sino con prop\u00f3sito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>\"Ens\u00e9\u00f1anos a contar bien nuestros d\u00edas, para que nuestro coraz\u00f3n adquiera sabidur\u00eda.\"<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Este ha sido el vers\u00edculo de mi vida desde que tengo memoria. Y creo que, poco a poco, se ha convertido tambi\u00e9n en mi meta. Atesoro los momentos. Estoy rebosante de gratitud por la vida que he vivido y llena de esperanza por el futuro. Deseo que cada d\u00eda tenga valor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Por eso he comenzado un ritual silencioso pero poderoso. Cada ma\u00f1ana me pregunto:\u00a0<em>\"\u00bfQu\u00e9 har\u00e9 hoy que sea digno de un d\u00eda que no volver\u00e1 jam\u00e1s?\" Y cada noche, al ver c\u00f3mo el sol se esconde tras el horizonte, me pregunto: \"\u00bfQu\u00e9 hice hoy que fue digno de un d\u00eda que ya se fue?\"<\/em>\u00a0Y cada noche, al ver c\u00f3mo el sol se esconde tras el horizonte, me pregunto\u00a0<em>\"\u00bfQu\u00e9 hice hoy que fue digno de un d\u00eda que ya se fue?\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">No juzgo mis respuestas. Las recibo con gracia. Algunos d\u00edas est\u00e1n llenos de significado. Otros son ca\u00f3ticos y comunes. Pero cada uno cuenta, porque cada uno forma parte del n\u00famero limitado de d\u00edas que me quedan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Esa realidad se volvi\u00f3 a\u00fan m\u00e1s clara cuando hice las cuentas: si llego a vivir hasta los 100 a\u00f1os, me quedan aproximadamente 14,600 d\u00edas. Nada m\u00e1s. De los 36,500 d\u00edas que puede vivir una persona centenaria, la mayor\u00eda de los m\u00edos ya pasaron. Y considerando que la expectativa de vida promedio para una mujer es de 82 a\u00f1os\u2014y que ninguna mujer en mi familia ha vivido m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los 89\u2014ese n\u00famero podr\u00eda ser a\u00fan menor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Puede que esto suene triste para algunos, pero hay una belleza innegable en esa limitaci\u00f3n: el valor. Cuando algo escasea, se vuelve precioso. Por eso he decidido abrazar esta etapa de mi vida con una nueva mirada. Creo que los sesenta ser\u00e1n mi d\u00e9cada dorada\u2014no porque vayan a ser f\u00e1ciles, sino porque ser\u00e1n intencionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">No necesito vivir para siempre. Solo quiero vivir bien. Y hoy, elijo vivir una vida que sea digna de este d\u00eda irrepetible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Ahora le toca a usted.<\/strong><br>Le invito a iniciar su propio ritual diario que le ayude a vivir de manera m\u00e1s intencional. No tiene que ser algo intenso. Dependiendo de la etapa de su vida, puede ser tan simple como darse permiso para sentarse a escuchar un chiste de su hijo, prestar atenci\u00f3n plena a su pareja, o servir en un centro comunitario. No existe lo grande o lo peque\u00f1o. Solo existe lo trascendente y lo pasajero. Y aunque gran parte de nuestra vida est\u00e1 compuesta de cosas temporales que debemos hacer, no olvide incluir actividades trascendentes.
