Como persona de fe, tengo un tiempo a solas cada d\u00eda en el que escribo en un diario sobre la lectura del d\u00eda. El libro de Proverbios es uno de mis favoritos para reflexionar y escribir. Est\u00e1 lleno de sabidur\u00eda y de pasos pr\u00e1cticos. Por ejemplo, Proverbios 15:4 dice: \u201cLa lengua que brinda alivio es \u00e1rbol de vida; la lengua perversa deprime el esp\u00edritu.\u201d Este proverbio presenta un contraste poderoso: nuestras palabras pueden dar vida o destruirla silenciosamente. En una sola frase, se nos recuerda que la lengua tiene una influencia incre\u00edble sobre la salud emocional y espiritual de los dem\u00e1s. Aqu\u00ed hay tres ense\u00f1anzas pr\u00e1cticas que podemos vivir diariamente:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Elija palabras que sanen, no solo palabras que sean verdaderas.<\/strong>
    Mis hijos y yo sol\u00edamos ver una pel\u00edcula llamada \u201cAnne of Green Gables\u201d. En ella hay una mujer mayor que dice todo lo que piensa, sin importar a qui\u00e9n lastime. Cuando alguien le reclama, responde: \u201cEn este pueblo se me conoce como una mujer que dice lo que piensa. No debes molestarte.\u201d Es f\u00e1cil justificar la dureza diciendo: \u201cSolo estoy siendo honesta.\u201d Pero este vers\u00edculo nos desaf\u00eda a ir m\u00e1s all\u00e1. Las palabras que sanan no solo son verdaderas: tambi\u00e9n son consideradas, oportunas y amables. Antes de hablar, preg\u00fantese: \u00bfesto edificar\u00e1 o destruir\u00e1? La misma verdad puede comunicarse de una manera que restaure en lugar de herir. El tono, el momento y la intenci\u00f3n importan tanto como el contenido.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Reconozca el impacto duradero de sus palabras.<\/strong>
    Un \u201c\u00e1rbol de vida\u201d no es algo temporal: crece, da sombra, produce fruto y sostiene la vida con el tiempo. De la misma manera, las palabras de \u00e1nimo pueden acompa\u00f1ar a alguien durante a\u00f1os. Por otro lado, las palabras enga\u00f1osas o descuidadas pueden \u201cquebrantar el esp\u00edritu\u201d, dejando heridas profundas y duraderas. Esto nos recuerda que las conversaciones diarias\u2014en casa, con amistades, con nuestros hijos e hijas\u2014son oportunidades para sembrar algo que crecer\u00e1. Lo que decimos hoy puede moldear la confianza, la identidad o la esperanza de alguien ma\u00f1ana.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Practique la integridad en su manera de hablar.<\/strong>
    Una lengua enga\u00f1osa no solo implica mentir; tambi\u00e9n incluye exagerar, manipular, chismear o decir una cosa mientras se quiere decir otra. La integridad en nuestras palabras construye confianza y seguridad en las relaciones. Cuando las personas saben que nuestras palabras son honestas y consistentes, nuestra voz se convierte en una fuente de vida. Pero cuando nuestras palabras no son confiables, generan confusi\u00f3n y dolor. En la pr\u00e1ctica, esto significa cuidar lo que repetimos, resistir el impulso de hablar desde la emoci\u00f3n y alinear nuestras palabras con la verdad y el amor. Una pr\u00e1ctica muy \u00fatil que me ayuda es preguntarme: \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo me sentir\u00eda si alguien me hablara de esa manera? O me dijera lo que estoy a punto de decir?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    En un mundo donde las palabras son constantes y muchas veces descuidadas, Proverbios 15:4 nos llama a algo m\u00e1s elevado. Cada conversaci\u00f3n es una elecci\u00f3n: ser una fuente de vida o una fuente de da\u00f1o. Cuando nos detenemos a considerar nuestras palabras y mostramos empat\u00eda por la persona con la que hablamos, tenemos la oportunidad de traer sanidad y vida\u2026porque nuestras palabras si tienen poder.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
